Hyphen and Ledgr

Hyphen is the new name for Ledgr. This policy applies to Hyphen and helps existing Ledgr customers recognize the product’s continuity.

Information we handle

The current App Privacy baseline identifies the following information as linked to your identity and used for App Functionality: Name, Email Address, Other User Content, and User ID.

• Sign in with Apple information. We receive an Apple account identifier and, if you choose to share them, your name and email address. We use this information to create and manage your account.
• Writing and related metadata. Hyphen stores writing on your device. If you choose to use optional sync, writing and related metadata may be sent to services that provide sync for your account.
• Voice transcription. If you grant permission, Hyphen uses the microphone and Apple’s Speech frameworks to transcribe speech. Processing may occur on-device or through Apple’s service depending on your device, language, settings, and Apple’s service.
• Technical information. Operational logs and security diagnostics may process technical information to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.

How information is used

We use the information described above to authenticate you, provide the app and its optional sync features, transcribe voice when you request it, protect the service, and respond to support requests.

Hyphen uses Apple services for Sign in with Apple and voice transcription. Apple’s handling of information is governed by its own policies and service terms.

Your choices and deletion

You can choose whether to grant microphone and speech-recognition permissions. You can also manage or revoke those permissions in your device settings.

To request account deletion in the app, open Settings and select Delete Account. For help with an account or data request, contact Hyphen support. Deletion processing can take time to propagate through service systems, including backups and logs.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or its data practices change. The current version will be posted here with an updated date.
